This role has 2 main functions: PowerPoint deck creator and communications owner. We are looking for an energetic candidate with a passion for the perfect phrase, innovative chart design, and a love of the Oxford comma. You know how to take unformed or vague ideas and turn into compelling stories in PowerPoint. You should be comfortable brainstorming decks as well as executing on the fly. The Communications Manager is responsible for partnering with all teams to create visually compelling and well-written pitch decks and memos for use externally, whether with clients, partners, or other stakeholders. When wearing your other hat, you are an employee cheerleader. You are responsible for creating and delivering high-quality internal communications such as executive updates, employee communications, office and operations, and culture / HR initiatives. The role also acts as the contact point for all media/public relations (writing press releases, building relationships with journalists, booking speaking engagements) and will be a key input into social media and webpage initiatives.
