Regional Director

We're seeking a talented senior retail leader to join our studio leadership team as a Regional Director in the Mid-Atlantic.  A WW Regional Director channels a passion for a healthy lifestyle, customer service, brand ambassadorship, and proven business- and people-leadership and leads all aspects of the studio business for the region through a talented team of Territory Managers, including customer experience, ensuring an elevated and consistent brand expression, member recruitment and retention, sales, team development, and operations. The Regional Director is based in his/her office in his/her home.

Key Responsibilities:
Driving WW Business:

  • In all territories in region, ensures direct reports execute business plans that include membership recruitment and retention and retail goals
  • Fosters an environment of high level of customer service and hospitality, ensuring teams cultivate member engagement with WW program and tools and member satisfaction with in-studio experience
  • Controls expenses, via optimizing labor costs and effectively guiding Territory Managers in effective cost and labor management
  • Models operational excellence through leadership and thoughtful decision making
  • Demonstrates ability to action regionally against overall company objectives including brand strategy, real estate strategy, local marketing, product sales, product launches, customer engagement and retention, all while making smart top and bottom-line decisions
  • Builds credibility and trust through passion for and modeling of WW brand and healthy lifestyle, for both team and members
  • Ensures high quality and overall visual excellence throughout region by implementing and executing consistent standards
  • Continually evaluates all facets of regional performance, structure, and expenditures to identify and implement operational efficiencies, control costs, and improve effectiveness

People Leadership:

  • Builds and cultivates talented, high-performing management teams across the region through effective networking, hiring, onboarding, assessing, developing, giving and seeking feedback, and coaching a team of managers across multiple geographies. Delegates responsibilities appropriately
  • Role models WW people leadership standards
  • Communicates vision, strategy, and clear directions to team
  • Leads with honesty and respect, and creates an inspiring, fun, and healthy work environment. Holds team and self accountable at all times
  • Champions performance management, talent development, and other people-focused initiatives in alignment with company objectives
  • Provides strategic business leadership to dispersed management team
  • Provides guidance to management team in resolving employee relations and performance issues and complaints, finding best solutions and outcomes

WW Brand:

  • Understands and drives team to deliver the WW community experience in an on-brand and consistent way
  • Stays current with market competition and industry trends
  • Ensures team delivers WW experience standards across all touchpoints within the region
  • Serves as expert in WW's scientifically-proven methodology for building healthy habits and holistic wellness and weight loss, incorporating moving, mindset, and the WW food program
  • Actively seeks opportunities in the community to build on-brand partnerships, attract new members, and create brand awareness
  • Acts as a WW brand ambassador and ensures all teams in region role model WW standards

 

Region Operations:

  • Demonstrates strong business acumen; strategically forecasts, plans, and budgets to the needs of the business
  • Ensures teams execute visual and retail merchandising standards across the region
  • Oversees team in managing daily operational tasks according to WW standards including selling and service expectations, operations, payroll, people (including staffing/finding coverage), and loss prevention
  • Interacts and communicates with own manager and direct reports on a regular basis to keep them informed, and participates in all-region calls and meetings with peers

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Passion for wellness, healthy lifestyle, and WW brand
  • 12+ years retail management experience; experience leading a team of multi-unit managers required, and strong and aspirational brand experience preferred
  • Track record of attracting and developing exceptional talent
  • Savvy in using social media platforms (e.g., Facebook and Instagram)
  • Superior customer service experience
  • Ability to influence across multiple levels of employees
  • Excellent active listening and communication skill; ability to communicate effectively with senior management levels
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasional nights, weekends, and busy seasons
  • Travel is required for this role: must possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, reliable vehicle, and DMV record in good standing
