Product Marketing & Strategy Manager, Provider

| Greater NYC Area

The role of the Product Marketing & Strategy team is to create and drive winning go-to-market strategies for community oncology over the short and long-term. Product Marketing cultivates a deep understanding of the market, including industry and competitor trends, in order to best inform product development and position our offerings to customers and prospects. This requires partnership with functional teams at Flatiron to ensure a cohesive and winning go-to-market strategy, on all sides of the provider-facing organization.

As a Product Marketing & Strategy Manager, your top responsibility is to ensure the commercial success of our community oncology-specific products and services. You will become the company's top subject matter expert about our buyers and competitors and translate your analysis of the market into actionable product strategy and product positioning recommendations. You will work closely with and across Growth & Retention Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Product Operations, Strategic Initiatives, and Clinical Oncology teams to identify gaps in product knowledge for new and evolving products and build out strategies and materials to address them. You will also provide client-facing support for the Sales and Customer Success teams with our most strategic practices as well as at industry events.

This role focuses on go-to-market of Flatiron’s Provider data products, namely value-based care investments (including OCM and MIPS), clinical decision support, data analytics, and data access tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the expert on our market, buyers and user personas, and on our competition through market research and win/loss analysis to inform company strategy
  • Act as the voice of the market for internal product stakeholders and the voice of the product for external customers
  • Align closely with Product Management to influence product roadmap prioritization by identifying customer and market needs through market research; maintain, train, and communicate the client-facing version of this roadmap
  • Develop and execute go-to-market launch strategies and value propositions for new product features, including cross-functional marketing plans
  • Support demand generation campaigns by collaborating on content, strategy and programs that create interest for our products across market segments
  • Work closely with Sales to drive Flatiron's product positioning and training on how to pitch our products and serving as a SME in key internal and external meetings
  • Develop product value messaging frameworks and publication-ready product content that differentiates our products in the market, including the prioritization, development and implementation of case studies, webinars, whitepapers, and research
  • Develop content and provide on-the-ground support for Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Growth & Retention Marketing teams at industry events/conferences

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience driving market research, product positioning and developing compelling sales collateral and marketing material
  • Impeccable communication skills (written, verbal, PowerPoint, etc.) with the ability to structure/distill complex issues and cater communication to diverse audiences
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to execute with minimal direction; passion for developing subject matter expertise in new areas and dedication to continual learning
  • Exceptional project management, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Gifted storyteller and communicator, comfortable in client meetings
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization, with particular skill in managing and negotiating with internal stakeholders to drive maximum efficiency
  • Nose for value, ability to effectively prioritize competing opportunities and projects and adjust prioritization based on market conditions and feedback from the field
  • Experience or interest in developing expertise in clinical workflows, personas and process
  • Experience in B2B sales, either for a tech product or as part of a strategy consulting company
  • Experience in Health IT or healthcare consulting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform market analysis and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to pursue in future products
  • A career path that shows increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience interacting with executive stakeholders

An Insider's view of Flatiron Health

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

An engineer and oncologist work together over several weeks to build an algorithm from a naive prototype to a highly specialized and flexible rule set that can accurately represent the lines of therapy for 95% of patients within a specific disease subset.

Abhishek

Software Engineer

How does the company support your career growth?

As engineering manager, I am invested in the professional development of the people I work with. I train team members by pulling them out of their comfort zones to the uncomfortable territory. At Flatiron, it is one of our values - greatness and comfort rarely co-exist.

Kevin

Software Engineer

What is your vision for the company?

At Flatiron, we believe that learning from the experience of every cancer patient is an imperative — it is the key to accelerating research and continuing to improve the quality of care. Our mission is to serve cancer patients and our customers by dramatically improving treatment and accelerating research.

Zach Weinberg

Co-Founder, President and COO

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

Instead of studying the cells, I now have the opportunity to write about the patients. I can tell their stories through the research lens and enable them to advance clinical cancer research through their experiences. I certainly never lose sight of the human behind the cell anymore.
