Head/Director Learning & Development

| Greater NYC Area

As Head/Director of Learning & Development at Compass, you will be the overall training leader for all Compass staff across our growing company, owning all learning & development end-to-end. Your leadership will deepen our culture in order to help our staff advance their skills and knowledge, unlock their potential and drive Compass higher. You will move us toward our strategy of an in-house Compass University as we scale.

At Compass You Will:

  • Analyze individual and organizational development needs; Develop and implement learning strategies and programs at individual, team & organizational levels; Drive adherence to Compass values and the Compass Manager Expectations
  • Design and deliver in-house (and where appropriate with expert third parties), a blended approach to learning & development Compass-wide, including but not limited to – one-on-one coaching, classroom/workshop training, off-sites and online training
  • Develop and lead L&D annual strategy and budget planning, and obtain buy in from the leadership team
  • Lead L&D workshops across multiple regions in support of the Corporate L&D strategy
  • Develop a plan and budget for, hire and lead a team of L&D specialists as the company scales to support such growth
  • Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with leaders and managers to ensure that coaching and development provided is reinforced through ongoing performance management
  • Provide senior leadership with ongoing reporting and analysis of developmental activities
  • Counsel/coach/mentor individuals from all levels and areas of Compass
  • Develop individual personal growth plans for all managers of people; Provide coaching to this population in partnership with People & Culture Partners
  • Plan and execute regular leadership team L&D
  • Advise on and implement strategies for organizational alignment
  • Drive and embed diversity and inclusion practices into all that we do

What We’re Looking For:

  • BA/BS degree as well as a Masters Degree or above in: Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources or related concentration. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of Learning & Development or relevant experience, 15+ years preferred
  • Located at our HQ in New York
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed
