Never 'work' again: 7 companies hiring for your dream job

What they do: Datadog takes data from servers, databases, applications and other tools, and puts them into one new, unified infrastructure. If you know what that means, you'll love it here.

Why you want to work there: As niched as Datadog's services may sound, there's a tremendous amount of demand for them and the company is growing quickly. They just raised $94.5 million in new funding in January. Get in now, and you can go places with them.

Perks: You'll get catered lunches, free snacks and drinks, company-paid medical insurance, unlimited paid time off, a 401(k) and ton of other stuff.

Note from a company insider: "We are looking for pragmatic, smart engineers who have a proven track record of building large-scale products. We tackle large and interesting technical challenges. We are passionate about our product that is made by developers, for developers." — Ryan Elberg, Talent Acquisition Lead at Datadog

What they do: Movable Ink changed the very idea of email marketing. Today, marketers can send emails with content that changes in real time depending on a customer behavior. How cool is that?

Why you want to work there: When we visited Movable Ink's new offices last month, there was a ton of open space. We're guessing that means they're about to go on a hiring spree. If you get in now, in a couple months you'll be the old-hand. Plus, you'll probably get a much better desk.

Perks: In addition to being huge, Movable Ink’s new offices are pretty fancy. There are old London phone booths for making private calls, a full-sized shuffleboard table and a kegerator of cold brew coffee. You’ll also get a fully-stocked kitchen, an open vacation policy and good medical benefits.

What they do: Betterment is busily making their mark on the fintech industry. Customers have invested more than $4 billion with Betterment's goal-based online investment software.

Why you want to work there: The VCs think the company is going places. Betterment raised $100 million last month and is in fast-growth mode. Plus, we're pretty sure you'd get way better at investing your money if you worked here.

Perks: Life at Betterment is pretty swanky. The company has an executive chef, a fully stocked kitchen and cold brew coffee on tap. They also provide their employees with awesome health insurance, a 401(k) and you get to choose the computer setup of your choice. Oh, and their offices are pretty sweet too. You can work from your desk, the library, the kitchen, the garden, or the lounge. Don’t feel like working? There’s a nap room.

Note from a company insider: "As we continue to grow rapidly, diverse experiences and backgrounds will be instrumental in our success. With each candidate we speak with, our team looks for three characteristics that we believe are the core to our company’s culture: openness, passion and drive.” — Christina Kane, Director of Talent Acquisition

What they do: Teckst is a platform where businesses can send and receive text messages from their customers.

Why you want to work there: Teckst has the best of both worlds: a liberal work-from-wherever policy and a fun office in the middle of Soho. If you're getting your work done on a beach in Miami, it's cool with them. If you want to go into the office everyday, that's cool too. If do you decide to go in, there's a ping pong table, snacks and a popcorn machine.

Perks: Teckst dishes out some great perks. You'll get unlimited paid time off, good health insurance, a 401(k), a fitness stipend and an unlimited transit pass.

Note from the boss: "We’re looking for self-starters who want to learn and grow quickly. Tecksters get to wear many hats, and they see that as an opportunity. We’re one of those companies where the people, the culture, and the product are all incredibly exciting." —  Matt Tumbleson, founder and CEO

What they do: SiteCompli makes software that makes it easy for landlords and property managers to stay ahead of building compliance requirements.

Why you want to work there: The company's conference table is made of 32,000 Legos. Besides their odd office furniture, they're into some quirky hobbies: glassblowing, latte art, cheese making, beer brewing and molecular gastronomy. The company also works hard to foster workplace camaraderie — and that matters a lot.

Perks: SiteCompli put a lot of thought into the perks they offer. You'll get unlimited paid vacation and the company actually commends employees who take time off. You'll also get a seasonal clothing budget, good benefits and a competitive compensation package. Who knew life was so good in the real estate compliance industry?

Note from the boss: "At SiteCompli, being smart and hard working are table stakes to be considered for a job. But to get the job takes three qualities that are much tougher to find: 1. Kindheartedness (life is too short to work with jerks). 2. True passion (we pour our heart into this place). 3. Entrepreneurial spirit (someone who enjoys the journey, bumps and all, and feels a deep sense of ownership and investment in making SiteCompli awesome now and for the long term)." — Jason Griffith, Co-CEO of SiteCompli

What they do: Squarespace makes creative tools that power the web. Their software makes it so that just about anyone can build a pretty impressive website, own a domain or start an e-commerce business.

Why you want to work there: Because Squarespace is changing the face of the web — and that's where we live these days. Also, and this is completely unverified, but we're pretty sure that Jeff Bridges sleeps somewhere in their office.

Perks: Other than getting to nap with Jeff (again, completely unverified), Squarespace has some pretty sweet perks. Employees get catered, gourmet meals everyday, an equity plan, good insurance, a 401(k), a flexible PTO policy and up to 18 weeks of parental leave.

What they do: PolicyGenius is bringing the insurance industry online. We all have to shop for insurance; they're making it better.

Why you want to work there: Their office is right on the water in Williamsburg — which means you'll get that iconic Manhattan view every day. Plus, the company is growing like crazy, and now is a great time to get in and grow with them.

Note from the boss: "We are planning to nearly double our team this year so hiring is a big initiative for us. Our mantra is NO CHUCKLEHEADS. And what that means is, we're looking for team players who are exceptional problem-solvers and are willing to take ownership for the company's overall growth and our customers’ success, regardless of their specific role. Candidates who can do this while maintaining a positive attitude are the best fit." — Jennifer Fitzgerald, CEO and Co-founder at PolicyGenius
